Volunteer Coordinator - Christina McClelland

  • Winter Groups just wrapped up the season, the students did amazing and phenomenal. Patents give yourselves a pat on the back or a random applause because of all your hard work. 

  • Tomorrow the Wind Ensemble goes to Sherwood. It's during the day. Down and back for that. 

  • Wednesday, you're going to get lots of information from Kristen and Christina about the Orlando trip. The students are going to get out at 1.45 and then the bus leaves at 2.30. 

  • Others of us who are meeting at the airport. 

  • Monday, April 20th is Wheels on the Bus. That's the walk, play, spin, go throughout the neighborhood. 

  • Saturday, April 25th is the bandwidth fun run. 

  • Also on that same Saturday, the Mount Hood Jazz Festival, it's an afternoon performance. They can still do the morning fun run and then they're going to get on a bus.  

  • Friday, May 1st and 2nd, which is Friday, Saturday, parade camp. We will be staying at Century. We will NOT be going to Camp Rilea. It is a significant savings on buses and food.. 

  • May 4 and 5 pick up flowers at Christina Saribay’s house.

  • May 6th chipotle dine out night.

  • Saturday, May 8th is state jazz competition, at Mount Hood. 

  • May 9th Jags and Jazz Auction. 

  • May 12th is our next parent meeting 

  • We are over 5,000 hours that are logged at this moment in time. There's over 55 family completions. 

  • May 1st is like the senior cutoff. It goes to the bookkeeper for collections to just make sure everything is clear. 

  • So your 16 hours is for your season, which is from the beginning of fall to the end of the year. There's an additional 10 hours for Winter Percussion/Winterguard. 


Uniforms - Lisa Cavanaugh

  • If you're going to Orlando, it is long black socks that they should pack, not the no-show black ones that were on the list. Please make sure that they have their shoes, that the shoes fit. 

  • All the uniforms have been packed up, labeled, and are in crates, ready to go to the airport. 

  • Your students will get the hats in Orlando. 

Treasurer - Jason Keezel and Tom Thaxton

  • Senior amounts have been sent to the bookkeeper. We've had a couple of parents reach out about what they owe. I think that we're going to have a slight surplus next year of $6,000 or $7,000. 

  • We did get quite a bit of payments.  

  • Parade share number four. The reason I'm wording it that way is because the eighth graders. I think we can do $75.


VP Fundraising - Heather Buxton

  • Greg Robins sent a check for $261. 

  • Hops, next set of dates needs to be turned in before the trip. Elizabeth is working on it. 

  • Fundraising numbers- Tom 

  • Next can drive- need to set a date w/Emily & David

  • Pie Guy- Sold 125 pies, just over $500 profit (not bad for first time, and all small pies). Working on adding Blue Moon Bakery to both pie sales in the future so we have a gluten free option (and also some of their pies are vegan)

  • Hanging Baskets- we still need more sales to meet our minimum, but so far looks good. We do need to sell more 10” baskets though.

  • Hops- next set of dates needs to be turned in before the trip, Elizabeth is working on it. It’s all going well!

  • Bandwidth- Crystal Connors & Jackson Keezel

  • Auction- THEME: PALM ROYALE; working on menu and a lot of planning details at this time; tickets are live and selling (push, push, push!); save-the-dates went out to the HSD school board and Hillsboro City Council a few weeks ago- will send invite soon; invite has gone out in Julie’s newsletter & Scott Thomas updated calendar; Sanne Cai sent out the save-the-date to their families a few weeks ago and now they have the invite to send out; invite needs to be spread by everyone possible; donations are rolling in and looking good, but we need a LOT more; student baskets are due Friday, but I will pickup on Monday; it’s all coming together

  • We MUST find someone to take on fireworks ASAP, please help me find someone/a family/several people

  • Louie Louie is ready for official planning. Who all needs to be included in the planning of this event? 

  • Next week on Monday, prior to the parent meeting, there will be a fundraising meeting- likely at 6pm, for anyone who wants to attend.

  • Pie Guy March 6-20th, 2026, pickup 4/2- Charlene Bradetich

  • Al’s Hanging Baskets March 24th-April 16th (drop off 5/4) pickup 5/4 & 5/5

  • Can drive this Saturday then 4/4

  • Hillsboro Hops- Elizabeth has us ready to go, she already sent info out, they start next month

  • Bandwidth- Jackson & Crystal Connors handling

  • Auction 5/9 (also- what else is actually happening on this day?)

  • For March 17th: I will create the flyers for upcoming events and a list for Jim to talk about (his choice what) at the concert- Can Drives, Bandwidth, Auction, Fireworks, Fred Meyer, Showcase, Pies, Plants, Louie Louie, Century Band Shop, and if there’s a restaurant night- anything else? Will also have a table where retired gear can be purchased if we have it (if so, will also sell stickers and pins from Swag Station), and people can order pies to benefit the band (unless they request it be put under a students name). 

    • If leadership wants to sell something like bottled water, lmk

  • Fireworks- time to find someone to get on board, I will request again at next parent meeting
